GoPro

Led the development of a complete packaging system for GoPro cameras, owning the full scope from primary packaging through secondary packaging and transit testing.

Designed all structural packaging components with a focus on efficiency, durability, and user experience. Over multiple product cycles, the primary objective was to reduce overall package size while elevating the unboxing experience.

  • Reduced package size to lower material and shipping costs, improve freight efficiency, and increase product density on retail shelves.

  • Reduced package depth was a constant goal, this would allow us to fit more on the shelf and increase master pack and pallet quantity.

  • Eliminated all visible tape to create a cleaner, more premium retail presentation.

  • Reengineered the opening sequence so the package opens from the bottom rather than the top, allowing the camera and accessory tray to be removed in a single step.

  • Integrated the clear lid with the outer sleeve, enabling a non-destructive unboxing experience and preserving packaging integrity throughout setup.

Work done while at Veritiv with collaboration of the GoPro team.
