I’m Matt Hanzly, and for over 20 years I have worked in a unique hybrid role as a Structural Packaging Designer and Visualization Specialist.

I started my career as a Packaging Engineer for Hasbro, managing packaging for iconic brands like Star Wars, Transformers, Play-Doh, and Nerf. From there, I moved into the tech and innovation space, designing for companies like Veritiv, Peloton, Juul, and Enlisted Design.

While the engineering side was critical, I realized early on the importance of making packaging concepts look as good as they function. I saw a gap between technical requirements and creative vision, and I set out to bridge it.

Today, I split my time between two worlds: engineering intuitive unboxing experiences and creating photorealistic product renders that live on the package or website. Instead of hiring two separate teams, I act as a single point of contact who covers both jobs, ensuring the final result is beautiful, manufacturable, and cost-efficient.
